I am sure you have heard the saying, “where there’s a will, there may be a way”? For the person who is trying to lose weight, this precise saying is so easy to hear – yet so tough to do. whether you are struggling to shed a few unwanted pounds or go down ten pants sizes, your success solely depends on your weight loss motivation.
Why lose the weight?
Are you searching to be skinny for that beautiful wedding dress that is weeks away, or looking for that new man/woman in your life, avoiding a medical issue whatever the reason is. In order to succeed everyone needs to have.
So ask yourself what is going to drive me to reach my weight loss goal? Go deep down inside and find that vision of what you want to look like, and why you want to look that way. What are the feelings you want to feel, losing this weight? Is it for health reasons, Happiness, Self Worth, or confidence? Knowing the answer to this question will restrain you from going to your favorite restaurants and ordering a greasy hamburger and french fries.
Establish a strategy:
As soon as you have determined what your weight loss motivation is, you could then create a plan to achieve your favored weight. Before you jump on a stair stepper or run 5 miles it is a good idea to put a weight loss game plan together.
Below you will find a simple strategy:
First thing on the list is to design the blueprint you intend to follow. The number one thing is to get a scale- and put blank pad and pen next to it. Now comes the hard part, every day, make it imperative for you to weigh in: note: it is critical that you weigh in at about the same time of the day, every day. This will make your weight accurate. (Some research says not to do it every day, I find I am accountable and determine if I see it every day). Seeing your progress or no progress in writing is a great weight loss motivator. Only you can change and be true to yourself. It is what it is.
The next step is if you are one that has no willpower and cannot trust yourself around any kind of junk food remove it from the home. You can keep any foods or snacks that are 100 calories or less.
If you find you can not just eat 10 Doritos than throw the bag away. If you need extra weight loss motivation hang a picture of your favorite dress size on the wall that you look at all the time. That right there may
stop you from going for that peanut butter cup.
Part of your weight loss blueprint may even include motivating things like going for walks with friends, or family. There are many ways that one can lose weight. You can go to an Aerobics class, or a Zumba class join a gym. One good thing to know is people around you can be a great weight loss motivator. I know for me it is my gym trainer.
Use them to your benefit. You might choose not to go to Mc Donalds for lunch. However, if you have someone that is health conscious and likes to take walks, they will motivate you to exercise and have an apple instead of junk food.
Believe me, no one said that losing weight was going to be easy. But when you decide what your driving force is and use your motivating plan of action you can accomplish anything you desire. So yes if there is a will there sure is a way.
